Art + Objects + Mystery
Cold Lunch is a curated vending machine brand built around the idea that good things show up in unexpected places. Local art prints, handpicked jewelry, mystery bags, and treats for adults — the kind of stuff you'd find at the bottom of a really good prize chest.
Cold Lunch exists for the sole purpose of trying to bring fun surprises into unexpected places.
Every item in the machine is hand-selected. The exterior is hand-painted. The mystery bags are curated with love. It is an experiment in retail as experience while using one of the most mundane formats in public space to deliver something delightful.
The goal is for the brand to sit at the intersection of small business, public art, and community curation. It's core intent is to be a platform for local makers, a discovery mechanism for people who like surprises, and a way to bring the vending machine mechanical medium into more spaces.
Cold Lunch is just getting started. Here's what's next.
Expanding to additional venues. Every location gets its own painted exterior by one of Eugene's local artists.
Rotating featured artist slots — giving local makers a physical retail presence without the overhead of a brick and mortar.
A digital version of the machine — same curated energy, same mystery bags, shipped to your door.
Bringing the machine to markets, festivals, and community events. Cold Lunch as a traveling installation.
